Steps to cook

  1. Prepare the ingredients. This is what awaits you on the plate - prepare the ingredients in advance so the work goes smoothly 🍗🍄‍🟫

  2. Slice the onion. Peel the onion and cut it into thin strips.

  3. Prepare the mushrooms. Check the mushrooms - if they are dirty, clean them with a paper towel. Depending on their size, cut them in half or into quarters.

  4. Slice the garlic. Peel the garlic and slice it. Cut the spring onion into strips.

  5. Slice the bell pepper. Wash the peppers and cut them into strips.

  6. Brown the chicken. Add a few drops of oil to a pan. Place the salted chicken in the pan skin-side down over medium-low to medium heat and brown for approximately 4 minutes until the skin is golden. Then turn and cook for another about 3 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

  7. Sauté the vegetables. Return the pan to medium heat and start sautéing the onion and peppers. After about 2 minutes, add the mushrooms; after another 1-2 minutes, add the garlic and sauté everything together for about another minute. Finally, deglaze the pan with wine vinegar

  8. Add the chicken. Return the chicken thighs to the pan, add the canned tomatoes, bouillon dissolved in water or stock if you have it, and add about half a cup of liquid more. Optionally, you can add a little capers for a more tangy flavor. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes over medium heat, then remove the lid and cook for another about 4 minutes over higher heat. Finally, season with salt and pepper.

  9. Serve. Serve plain or ideally with bread, or with cooked pasta or rice 🍽️✨ Sprinkle with spring onion
