Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all ingredients and take the butter out of the fridge to soften 🍪✨
-
Crush the almonds. Crush the almonds finely in a bag or blend them in a food processor.
-
Make the dough. Combine the ground almonds, flour, powdered sugar (reserve some for the end), and softened butter and knead into a smooth dough. If the butter didn't fully soften and you partially melted it, the dough may be slightly sticky. Then chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
-
Shape the crescents and bake. Take small pieces of dough and shape them into crescents by hand (or use a mold). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C for about 5–8 minutes, until they begin to lightly brown on the bottom. Check them while baking, as they can burn quickly and will continue to cook slightly after removal.
-
Dust with powdered sugar. Dust the finished crescents with powdered sugar.
-
Serve. Serve 🍽️✨Serve and hide them from the other family members so you have some left for Christmas
