Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and preheat the oven to 180 °C 🍏✨
-
Peel and cut the apples. Peel the apples, quarter them and remove the cores.
-
Melt the butter. Put half of the butter in a saucepan and melt it over low heat.
-
Add the sugar and let it dissolve. Add the sugar and dissolve it in the butter over low heat until a golden caramel forms. Approximately 3–5 minutes over medium heat.
-
Add the cinnamon. Add the cinnamon and mix well.
-
Add the apples and water. Add the apples and a little water and simmer for about 5 minutes, until the caramel dissolves into a liquid consistency and nicely coats the apples. Then let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.
-
Cover with puff pastry. Cover the pan with apples and caramel with puff pastry and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes.
-
Let cool. Remove from the oven and let the tart cool for a while.
-
Serve. Invert onto a plate and serve; the tart is great, for example, with a scoop of ice cream 🍽️✨
