-
Peel the vegetables. Peel the carrots, celery, and onion; we can save the peels for stock
-
Cut the vegetables. Cut the vegetables into evenly sized small cubes
-
Cut the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes
-
Fry the bacon. In a pot, fry the bacon in olive oil and butter. Cook for about 3 minutes over medium heat
-
Saute the vegetables. Add the vegetables to the pot, season with salt and pepper, and saute until golden
-
Fry the meat. Add the ground meat to the vegetables and fry well until browned; you can saute more vigorously over high heat
-
Optional: Add wine. Pour in a little water so it does not burn
-
Add bouillon and crushed tomatoes. Add the bouillon and add water to cover (or use stock instead if you have it), add the crushed tomatoes, and cook for 10 minutes
-
Add milk. Finally add the milk and let it simmer gently
