Cachorrinho (Portuguese Hot Dog)
By chef Gulasch
A Portuguese version of a hot dog. It differs in that this hot dog must use raw, proper sausage instead of classic frankfurters. The result is excellent, and the hot dog spread with spicy butter is ideal as a snack with beer or similar.

Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we'll be cooking them in a moment 🌭✨
-
Slice the roll. Slice the roll lengthwise in half
-
Fill with salsiccia. Squeeze the salsiccia without the casing into the roll
-
Brown the salsiccia. Brown the roll with the salsiccia in a skillet or contact grill over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, until the meat turns golden
-
Toast the roll with butter. Add the second half of the roll and briefly toast it over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes
-
Add the cheese and bake. Add the slices of cheese, cover with the other half of the roll, press down and bake over low heat for about 2-3 minutes, until the cheese melts; you can flip it halfway through
-
Prepare the spicy butter. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, add sriracha or another chili sauce and whisk in (do not boil)
-
Spread and cut the cachorrinho. Spread the finished cachorrinho with the spicy butter and cut into smaller pieces
-
Serve. Serve 🌭🍽️✨
