Caponata with Burrata

Caponata is a traditional Sicilian dish made with eggplant, olives, tomatoes, and capers, which in this case is combined with delicious burrata.

What you will need

Eggplant / Aubergine 0.5 pcs -
Burrata 0.5 pcs -
Canned Tomatoes 0.25 pcs -
Red Onion 0.5 pcs

Celery 0.25 pcs -
Olives 25 g -
Capers 0.5 tbsp

Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will cook with them in a moment 🍅✨

Chop the onion. Peel the onion and cut it into small dice.

Chop the celery stalk. Cut the celery stalk into small dice.

Chop the eggplant. Cut the eggplant into small dice.

Saute the onion. In a pan with a little oil, saute the red onion for about 2-3 minutes over medium heat until it becomes translucent.

Add the celery stalk and eggplant. Add the celery stalk and eggplant and saute together for about 4-5 minutes over medium heat.

Add the tomatoes. Add the tomatoes and let simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat.

Add the olives. Add the olives and capers and stir.

Serve. Serve with burrata on top 🍽️✨
