Steps to cook

-
Cut the onion. Cut the onion into smaller dice π§
-
Chop the garlic. Finely chop the garlic π§
-
Cut the spring onion. Cut the spring onion into rings π§
-
Cut the pork belly. Cut the pork belly into thin slices (if they are thicker, a longer cooking time will be needed) π₯©
-
Make the caramel. Heat the sugar in a pan over low heat until it starts to caramelize (do not stir so that lumps do not form). Once it starts to melt, stir and let it melt completely, then immediately remove from the heat so the caramel does not burn
-
Add the meat, sauces, and vegetables. Add the meat, onion, garlic, spring onion, fish sauce, and soy sauce and saute over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes. Then add a little water so that the meat is almost submerged, and cook over low heat for 20-30 minutes until the meat is tender π₯©
-
Cook the rice. Rinse the rice, cover with water in a 1:2 ratio, bring to a boil, then reduce to the lowest heat, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes until tender π
-
Serve. Serve garnished with the green part of the spring onion π½οΈβ¨
