Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. This is what awaits on your plate β creamy chicken with spinach and a bean sauce served with rice; prepare the ingredients in advance so the work goes smoothly πππ₯
-
Cook the rice. Put the rinsed rice into a pot with twice the amount of water, bring to a boil, stir, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 12 minutes until tender.
-
Prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken into strips, season with salt and pepper, and lightly drizzle with oil.
-
Sear the chicken. Heat a little oil in a pot or a deep frying pan and sear the chicken over high heat for about 3-4 minutes until golden, then set it aside.
-
Make the sauce. Add the cream and the beans (including a little of the liquid if you like) to the same pot, season with salt and pepper and cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes.
-
Blend and finish cooking. Blend the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth, return the chicken and cook for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
-
Add the spinach. Add the spinach and cook it in the sauce for about 1 minute until wilted.
-
Finish the rice. Remove the rice from the heat, fluff it with a fork and let it rest under the lid for a few minutes.
-
Serve. Serve the chicken in the sauce with the rice π½οΈβ¨
