Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. This is what will be on your plate - prepare the ingredients ahead of time so the process goes smoothly 🧀🍋
-
Prepare the chickpeas. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Place the chickpeas in a colander and let them drain well. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
-
Prepare the parcel. Lay a sheet of aluminum foil on the work surface and place an equally sized piece of parchment paper on top. Put the feta in the center and scatter the drained chickpeas around it.
-
Season the feta. Grate lemon zest over the feta, sprinkle with spices and thyme. Add the garlic slices, drizzle with olive oil and honey. Optionally, you can add a little chili for a spicier flavor.
-
Bake the feta. Carefully wrap the paper and foil into a parcel, place it in a baking dish and put it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 15 minutes, until the feta softens and begins to slightly melt.
-
Serve. Serve the finished dish on its own or, for example, with pita bread 🫓✨
