Penne Cacciatore With Rabbit

Pasta with a rabbit ragout prepared with tomatoes, onion, garlic, herbs, and a little wine. Cacciatore means "hunter-style" and refers to meat slowly braised in a simple sauce. It is a nourishing dish with a homemade flavor.

Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment 🍝✨

Cut the rabbit meat. Fillet the rabbit leg and cut the meat into thin strips

Slice the onion. Peel the onion and cut it into strips

Chop the garlic. Peel the garlic and chop it finely

Clean the thyme. Clean the thyme and strip off the leaves

Saute the onion. Heat olive oil in a pan, add the onion, and saute over medium heat for about 3 minutes until softened

Add the garlic and thyme. Add the garlic and thyme and saute over medium heat for another 3-4 minutes to release their aroma

Saute the rabbit. Add the rabbit meat and saute over high heat for about 2 minutes to sear it

Simmer with tomatoes. Add the tomatoes and simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper

Cook the pasta. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water over medium heat for about 9 minutes, according to the package instructions

Combine with the sauce. Add the pasta to the sauce and briefly heat through over medium heat for about 1 minute

Serve with Parmesan. Serve, optionally sprinkled with Parmesan 🍝🍽️✨
