Steps to cook

  1. Prepare the ingredients. Prepare the ingredients; todays dish will be made from these ingredients 🥩✨

  2. Cut the onion. Cut half of the onion into wedges and the other half into small dice, then transfer the onion wedges to a roasting pan

  3. Prepare the pork neck. Season the pork neck with salt and pepper, sprinkle with caraway, and rub with garlic (if you have a whole piece, cut it into slices about 3-4 cm thick)

  4. Move the pork neck into the oven. Transfer the pork neck to the roasting pan with the onion, add a little water, cover, and bake in the oven at 160 C for about 30-45 minutes, depending on the thickness of the meat

  5. Prepare the potatoes. Peel the potatoes, cut them into smaller pieces, and cook them in salted water over medium heat for about 15 minutes until tender

  6. Slice the garlic. Peel the garlic and slice it

  7. Cut the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes

  8. Fry the bacon. Fry the bacon in a pan over medium heat for about 4 minutes until golden brown

  9. Add the onion and garlic. Add the diced onion and garlic and saute over medium heat for about 2 minutes

  10. Add the spinach and potatoes. Add the spinach, let it wilt over medium heat, then add the cooked potatoes and toss together

  11. Finish roasting the pork neck. Uncover the pork neck and finish roasting in the oven at 200 C for another 15-30 minutes until golden brown (or you can sear it in a pan over medium heat, ideally weighted down)

  12. Reduce the pan juices. Pour the juices from the roasting pan into a saucepan, reduce over medium heat, let the onion brown lightly, and add a little water if needed

  13. Serve the dish. Serve the spinach potatoes with the pork neck and pan juices 🍽️✨
