Peel the potatoes. Peel the potatoes.
-
Slice the potatoes. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds so they bake evenly.
-
Slice the onion and garlic. Slice the onion and garlic into thin pieces.

Fry the potatoes. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the potatoes together with the onion and garlic for about 5-7 minutes, until they soften slightly.
-
Transfer to a baking dish. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
-
Sear the cod. Optional: In the same pan, sear the salted cod over high heat for about 1 minute on each side to seal it (if you are not confident doing this, place the fish directly in the baking dish in the next step).
-
Bake the dish. Lightly season the potatoes with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, pour over the cream, place the fish on top, season lightly again with salt and pepper, and bake in the oven at 200 C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
-
Prepare the salad. Slice the red onion and prepare a simple salad.
-
Serve. Serve hot as a complete meal with salad 🥗✨
