Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. This is what you'll have on the plate - prepare the ingredients beforehand so the work goes smoothly.
-
Chop the onion and garlic. Peel the onion and cut it into small dice. Peel the garlic and slice it thinly.
-
Brown the meat. Take a larger pot or a deep pan and heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced meat, break it up with a wooden spoon into smaller pieces and brown until the meat loses its raw color and begins to turn slightly brown.
-
Season the meat. Salt and pepper the meat, add ground cumin and chili. If you have paprika powder, add it as well and stir briefly so the spices release their aroma.
-
Sauté the onion. Add the onion and garlic to the pot and sauté together over medium heat for about 3 minutes, until the onion softens and begins to turn slightly golden.
-
Cook the mixture. Add the tomatoes, bouillon and pour in approximately one glass of water or stock. Stir, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes so the flavors combine and the mixture thickens slightly.
-
Add the beans. Add the beans to the pot, stir and turn off the heat. Let the mixture rest briefly.
-
Serve. Divide the finished dish into bowls, sprinkle with grated cheddar and add sour cream. Serve with nachos.
