Method

Steps to cook

11 steps · 1 h 8 min cook
  1. Prepare the ingredients. Prepare the ingredients and preheat the oven to 200 °C.

  2. Chop the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes.

  3. Sauté the bacon. Sauté the bacon in a little oil or butter until golden.

  4. Add the spinach. Add the spinach and let it wilt until it separates into individual leaves (about 5 minutes). Then set the mixture aside.

  5. Chop the spinach. Roughly chop the spinach mixture into smaller pieces (if you want to save effort, you can skip this step).

  6. Add the cheese and season. Put the spinach mixture into a bowl, add the fresh cheese and mix. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. Slice the turkey breast. Slice the turkey breast lengthwise so that you get a larger flat piece of meat. Season with salt and pepper. Place the filling in the center, spread it evenly and roll up the roulade.

  8. Skewer with toothpicks. Pierce the roulade along its length with toothpicks (to prevent it from opening during baking). Alternatively, you can tie it with kitchen twine.

  9. Bake the turkey. Grease the baking tray with oil or butter. Add the potatoes, sprinkle with Herbes de Provence and place the roulade. Bake in the oven for 60 minutes at 200 °C.

  10. Remove the baking dish from the oven. After baking, remove the roasting pan from the oven and pull out the toothpicks from the roulade.

  11. Serve. Slice the roulade and serve with the potatoes and a bit of the pan juices 🍽️
