Foil-Wrapped Potatoes With Yogurt
By chef Alexandre Marchetti
Potatoes in foil, or potatoes baked in foil, are a simple yet elegant dish, ideal for an outdoor dinner or as a side to a main course. The potatoes, baked to a golden-brown and tender inside, are served with a delicate yogurt sauce flavored with fresh dill and a few drops of lemon juice, which gives the dish lightness and freshness.

Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients and the oven. This is what you'll have on your plate – prepare the ingredients in advance so the work goes smoothly 🥔🌿
-
Bake the potatoes in salt. Pour a layer of salt into the foil, add the potatoes, wrap tightly and place in a preheated oven. Bake for about 25 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes, until completely tender (check with a skewer).
-
Prepare the yogurt sauce. Put the yogurt into a bowl, season with salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice. Mix everything thoroughly into a smooth dip.
-
Prepare the dill. Optional if you have dill. Separate the dill leaves from the stems and if you want a milder flavor, chop them finely. You can use other herbs if you like
-
Finish. Remove the baked potatoes from the oven, carefully unwrap, cut open, transfer to plates and top with yogurt and optional dill 🥔🥣
-
Serve. Serve 🍽️
