Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and lay them out on the work surface - we will cook step by step from them 🍖🍟
-
Slice the mushrooms. Clean the mushrooms and slice them into thin pieces.
-
Dice the onion. Cut the onion into small cubes.
-
Dice the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
-
Chop the parsley. Finely chop the parsley (optional).
-
Bake the fries. Spread the fries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven according to the package instructions (usually at 200 C for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown).
-
Prepare the meat. Lightly pound the meat to make it thinner, and season both sides with salt and pepper.
-
Coat the schnitzel. Prepare a three-stage breading and coat the schnitzel first in flour, then in beaten egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
-
Fry the schnitzel. Heat a deeper layer of oil in a pan over medium-high heat and fry the schnitzel on both sides for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then remove it.
-
Saute the onion and bacon. Add the onion and bacon to the same pan and cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes, until they start to brown slightly.
-
Add the mushrooms. Add the mushrooms and saute over medium heat for about 5 minutes until softened, then season with salt and pepper.
-
Add the cream. Pour in the cream and, if desired, add the chopped parsley, then briefly simmer over low heat for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Serve. Serve the schnitzel with the mushroom sauce and baked fries 🍽️✨
