Hunter's schnitzel with mushroom sauce

Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and arrange them on the work surface - we will cook step by step from them 🍖🔥

Slice the mushrooms. Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly.

Slice the onion. Cut the onion into small cubes.

Slice the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes.

Chop the parsley. Finely chop the parsley (optional).

Prepare the meat. Lightly pound the meat so it is thinner and cooks evenly, then season with salt and pepper.

Coat the schnitzel. Prepare the breading station and coat the meat successively in flour, beaten egg, and breadcrumbs.

Fry the schnitzel. Heat a deep layer of oil in a pan over medium to medium-high heat and fry the schnitzel on both sides for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then remove it and let it drain briefly.

Saute the onion and bacon. Add the onion and bacon to the same pan and saute over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to brown lightly.

Add the mushrooms. Add the mushrooms and saute over medium heat for about 5 minutes until softened, then season with salt and pepper.

Add the cream. Pour in the cream and, if desired, add the chopped parsley, then simmer briefly over low heat for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve. Serve the schnitzel with mushroom sauce 🍽️✨
