Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and bring salted water to a boil - we will cook with them in a moment 🍝🥦✨
-
Cook the pasta with the broccoli. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook over medium heat 2 minutes less than the package instructions say; add the broccoli during the last 2-3 minutes
-
Drain the water. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving some of the cooking water
-
Saute the onion. Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the onion and saute over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, until softened and translucent
-
Add the garlic. Add the garlic and briefly saute over medium heat for about 1 minute
-
Prepare the sauce. Add a little of the pasta water and the cream, bring to a boil over medium heat, and stir until the sauce thickens
-
Season. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg
-
Stir in the pasta and cheese. Stir in the pasta, broccoli, cheese, and mascarpone; if needed, add a little pasta water to loosen the sauce
-
Bake. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and bake in the oven at 190 C for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown
-
Serve. Remove from the oven and serve 🍽️✨
