Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. This is what awaits on the plate - salmon with basil potatoes, a simple and fresh dish; prepare your ingredients in advance so the work flows smoothly.
-
Cook the potatoes. Wash the potatoes and cut them into smaller pieces. Place them in salted water and cook for about 10-15 minutes, until tender.
-
Sear the salmon. Season the salmon on both sides with salt, brush with a little oil, and in a pan sear it skin-side down for about 5 minutes over medium heat; then flip and sear for about 2 minutes on the other side.
-
Toss with pesto. Drain the cooked potatoes and while still hot toss them with the pesto so they are evenly coated.
-
Serve. Serve the salmon with the basil potatoes.
