  1. Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment 🍫✨

  2. Melt the chocolate. Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt it over a hot water bath over low heat

  3. Stir in the butter. Once the chocolate is melted, add the butter and stir until it is combined with the chocolate

  4. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar. Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the granulated sugar into a thick cream until the sugar is completely dissolved (set the egg whites aside)

  5. Combine the chocolate with the egg yolks. Add the melted chocolate with butter to the whipped egg yolks and stir until the mixture is completely combined

  6. Add the starch. Finally, add the cornstarch, mix, and set the mixture aside

  7. Whisk the egg whites. In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks

  8. Fold in the egg whites. Add the whipped egg whites in thirds to the chocolate mixture and gently fold in to keep the mixture airy

  9. Bake the cake. Transfer the mixture to a pan greased with butter and dusted with powdered sugar and bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for about 20-25 minutes

  10. Dust with sugar. After baking, let it cool briefly and dust with powdered sugar 🍫🍽️✨
