Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be baking with them in a moment 🍪✨
-
Mix the liquid ingredients. In a small bowl, mix the liquid ingredients - melted (but not hot) butter, egg, and honey.
-
Mix the dry ingredients. In a larger bowl, mix the dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, gingerbread spice mix, sugar, cocoa, gingerbread spice, and cinnamon.
-
Make the dough. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry ingredients and work into a smooth dough, then let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 15-60 minutes.
-
Roll out and bake. Roll out the dough to a sheet about 3-4 mm thick, cut out shapes, and bake in the oven at 175 C for about 5-10 minutes.
-
Brush the gingerbread cookies. While still hot, brush the gingerbread cookies with beaten egg (optionally with a little rum) and let them cool.
-
Serve. Serve, optionally decorated with icing made from egg whites, powdered sugar, and lemon juice 🍽️✨

Chocolate Tiramisu with Orange Zest
NOTE: If you want to prepare 1 tiramisu, select 4 servings in the app - that is the amount of ingredients for 1 tiramisu (6-8 servings). Come make this classic Italian dessert with us. Tiramisu is not baked and is therefore very easy and quick to prepare, if you can then resist eating it before it has properly rested in the fridge. Our version by Marco Giampoli consists of classic savoiardi ladyfinger biscuits and a delicious egg-yolk cream with mascarpone, chocolate, and orange zest.
