Homemade Crescent Rolls
By chef Gulasch
1 serving = 3 rolls. You can also make bread rolls from the same recipe. Instead of lard, you can use another fat, but lard is top for rolls. A simple and quick recipe for great soft rolls or bread rolls.

Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and arrange them on the work surface - we will cook from them step by step 🍞✨
-
Prepare the starter. Crumble the yeast into a mug of lukewarm water, add a teaspoon of sugar, stir lightly, dust with a tablespoon of all-purpose flour, cover with a tea towel and let the starter rise in a warm place for about 10-15 minutes
-
Prepare the flour and baking sheets. Weigh the flour into a bowl, salt it around the edges, add the softened lard and make a well in the middle; meanwhile, prepare two baking sheets lined with baking paper and a floured rolling pin and work surface
-
Mix the dough. Add the risen starter to the bowl with the flour and work into a smooth dough (by hand or in a mixer)
-
Divide into balls. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and divide it into three equal parts, from which form balls
-
Cut into pieces. Lightly flatten each ball and cut it in a cross into four equal pieces
-
Roll into a roll. Roll out each triangular piece with a rolling pin into a triangle shape, keep the base facing toward you, and roll it up tightly into a narrow roll in the shape of a roll
-
Let rest and preheat the oven. Place the rolls on the baking sheets with spacing (about 6 pieces per sheet), cover with foil and let rest at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes; meanwhile preheat the oven to 220 C
-
Brush the rolls. Brush the rolls with beaten egg mixed with a little water and sprinkle with cheese, seeds, or bacon to taste
-
Bake. Bake in the preheated oven at 220 C for about 10 minutes, until golden brown
-
Serve. Serve fresh and enjoy them 🍽️✨

Chocolate Tiramisu with Orange Zest
NOTE: If you want to prepare 1 tiramisu, select 4 servings in the app - that is the amount of ingredients for 1 tiramisu (6-8 servings). Come make this classic Italian dessert with us. Tiramisu is not baked and is therefore very easy and quick to prepare, if you can then resist eating it before it has properly rested in the fridge. Our version by Marco Giampoli consists of classic savoiardi ladyfinger biscuits and a delicious egg-yolk cream with mascarpone, chocolate, and orange zest.
