Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. This is what awaits you on the plate - a fluffy orange cake with cream. Prepare the ingredients in advance so the work goes smoothly 🍊🍰 Preheat the oven to 170 C.
-
Prepare the oranges. Peel the oranges and cut them into smaller pieces.
-
Blend the oranges. Blend the oranges in a blender into a smooth puree.
-
Prepare the batter. Add the eggs, sugar, baking powder, oil, flour, and nutmeg and mix everything thoroughly into a smooth batter.
-
Bake the cake. Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking pan and bake for about 40 minutes, until the cake is baked through.
-
Whip the cream. Meanwhile, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
-
Prepare the cream. Gently fold the quark and sugar to taste into the whipped cream so the cream stays fluffy.
-
Finish and serve. Spread the cooled cake with the cream, garnish with a mandarin, and serve; if you are not eating it right away, chill it briefly in the refrigerator 🍽️✨

Tiramisu is not baked and is therefore very easy and quick to prepare, if you can then resist eating it before it has properly rested in the fridge. Our version by Marco Giampoli consists of classic savoiardi ladyfinger biscuits and a delicious egg-yolk cream with mascarpone, chocolate, and orange zest.
