Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment 🍑✨
-
Melt the butter. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, but do not let it boil.
-
Make the dough. In a bowl, mix the eggs, flour, cottage cheese, half of the melted butter, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt until a sticky dough forms.
-
Toast the breadcrumbs. In a pan, toast the breadcrumbs in the remaining butter over medium heat until golden, about 2-3 minutes.
-
Prepare the apricots. Cut the apricots halfway through and remove the pit (do not cut all the way through); out of season, use halved apricots.
-
Sweeten the apricots. Sprinkle a little sugar inside the apricots.
-
Shape the dumplings. Wet your hands, shape the dough in your palm, place an apricot inside, and enclose it into a round dumpling.
-
Cook the dumplings. Place the dumplings in gently simmering water and cook over low heat for about 6-8 minutes, until they float to the surface.
-
Coat in breadcrumbs. Carefully remove them and coat them in the toasted breadcrumbs.
-
Dust with sugar. Dust with sugar and cut in half.
-
Serve. Serve warm with buttery breadcrumbs 🍽️✨

Chocolate Tiramisu with Orange Zest

Tiramisu is not baked and is therefore very easy and quick to prepare, if you can then resist eating it before it has properly rested in the fridge. Our version by Marco Giampoli consists of classic savoiardi ladyfinger biscuits and a delicious egg-yolk cream with mascarpone, chocolate, and orange zest.
